Every year, the Roane Chamber honors outstanding members of the business community during the Annual Chamber Awards Banquet. Each year the winners are nominated by their peers and voted on by the Chamber Board’s Executive Committee. The winners must be non-controversial in the community, been a resident of the county for at least one year, and must have significantly and positively impacted Roane County through their actions and business decisions. This year the winners were: Paul Cowell Distinguished Service Award – Kathy Parks; Woman of the Year Award – Becky Ruppe; Ambassador of the Year Award– Tori May; Business of the Year Award– Humble Bee Flowers & Gifts (Tammi Cribbs); and the Paul E. Goldberg Young Professional Award – Rebecca Schwepfinger.
